WestWorks Studios Hosts Tektronix Video Insight Seminar

WestWorks Studios was the host for a Tektronix Video Insight Seminar, sponsored by BURST of Centennial, Colorado. The workshop focused on broadcast engineering topics and drew an audience of several dozen attendees. Topics covered included:

  • Color grading & camera shading
  • File based workflows & QC
  • Audio delay and loudness, including the CALM act
  • MPEG and video quality
  • Closed captioning
  • and “What’s new in the video world,” including a look at 4K and HVEC.

Tektronix is an industry leader in test, measurement and monitoring technologies for many fields, including broadcast operations, communications, consumer electronics, computer, semiconductor, military/aerospace, education and more.

The workshop was led by Steve Holmes, a senior application engineer with Tektronix for 12 years. Steve is a consultant and teacher of test methodologies for broadcast, studio, cable and manufacturing customers in western North America. Prior to working at Tektronix, he spent 20 years installing and managing Video and CATV systems.
